I designed the Skip and Scoop project as a dairy free, coconut ice cream brand. Based on my memories of growing up in the Midwest, each flavor correlates with a happy memory I have and the food I associate with it. The goal of this brand was to offer consumers a playful and nostalgic product which would remind them of their own childhood memories, and flavors they may not have experienced in years.
Each flavor comes with a short story printed on the back of the pint, and each package illustrates the story from a first-person perspective.
Based on my moodboard, I found several descriptive words and colors that best fit my design brief. I designed the logo and made a simple pattern.
From my moodboard I also started sketching different packages. Based on the brand's wishes for a bright and childlike nostalgia, I looked at a name-based logo concept as well as some character design
Created flat packaging design for 3 different flavors using Adobe Illustrator.
After creating the flat packaging design, I took it into Adobe Dimensions and created a set of final mockups for the brand. From Dimensions, I took the images into Photoshop for some cleanup and details.
